Our annual display would not be possible without the help and dedication of our great "staff"!
Wade Roberson
The Pumpkin Man himself! Wade has been carving for longer than he cares to remember, and began the annual display on Third Street ten years ago. Wade spends most of the two weeks before Halloween poking, cleaning, and carving pumpkins. "I don't get much sleep, don't watch much TV...I don't have much time for anything once it starts", says Wade.
Michele Roberson
They say that behind every great man stands a great woman - and the Pumpkin Man is no exception. Michele has been "putting up with" Wade's pumpkin obsession since the beginning. Michele is key in keeping the carvers fed, watered...and sane. She spends most of her evenings out in the yard, keeping the candles lit and helping to manage the crowds.
Jim Riddle
Jim has the dubious honor of living next door to the Pumpkin Man, and has helped out with the display for several years. Jim's carving specialty is the delicate shading seen in some of the more intricate designs, like Marilyn Monroe and the flying dragons.
Jen Koeller
Jen has been a part of The Pumpkin Man's display since 2005. She does a bit of everything around the "shop", including designing, carving, and even acting as the Pumpkin Man's Webmaster!
Chris Koeller
Chris has been carving pumpkins for almost ten years himself, but only joined the carving team five years ago. He is extremely proud of being "promoted" to the elite team of "Master Carvers", but says he'll "never quite reach the Pumpkin Jedi status that Wade has!" We'll have to see about that!
Ken Mortello
Ken Mortello got involved with the pumpkin carving insanity through his friendship with Michele, Jen, and Chris. Ken is a fellow firefighter from Hope Hose Humane Co. No. 1 in Bordentown City, and swaps putting out fires for lighting them...the candles, that is. He is also one of our "Master Carvers"...and has been known to take off from work to help!
Mike Lukach
Wade and Michele's dedicated neighbor, Mike, has been invaluable to the team. From the monsoon that kicked off the 2008 carving season, right through today, he's been right in the pits...er, the seeds...with the rest of the team. His favorite pumpkin? Spongebob, of course!
